Design
We feel it is vital to the success of a project to have a high level of consultation and collaboration between key stakeholders including client groups, end users, funding bodies, statutory authorities and consultants.
All parties are encouraged to work as part of an integrated team from project commencement. This approach enables ongoing communication and interaction and encourages creative concept resolution, ensuring the production of a comprehensive and integrated design solution.
A detailed site analysis is carried out, illustrating among other things existing infrastructure/services, existing development, existing vehicular and pedestrian access, existing views into and from the site, topography, local landscape and climate patterns. This process will also provide preliminary information to secondary consultants to allow their early response to the existing conditions and consideration of future possibilities.
Initial concept designs are developed in a consultative manner to focus discussion on the elaboration of the design brief. This involves development of the masterplan addressing access, site circulation & building orientation and how these will inform the planning for the proposed development.
Following the review of the concept, the design will be developed, with increasing detail within the same discipline of consideration and refinement of possible solutions. Close liaison during this stage is necessary to facilitate the production of developed designs consistent with the Project Brief.
We have an ongoing commitment to innovation in design, structural systems and construction detail with the aim of reducing overall building costs thereby increasing the economical sustainability of the construction process.
