Building Procurement

Building Procurement refers to the method by which the project is delivered and includes the negotiation of the approach to construction, quotes/tenders and agreements/contracts. The form of procurement for the proposed building is chosen as early as possible to guide the documentation process.

Procurement methods vary and hence it is vital to the success of a project that the method selected is appropriate for the type of project, the current industry/economic conditions and client needs.

Q3 facilitate the process of builder selection in consultation with the client. Tenders are assessed against established criteria including cost, proposed programme for completion of the work, builder's capacity and demonstrated understanding of the project.

During construction Q3 Architecture act both as the Client's agent and as an independent assessor for the administration of the construction contract (where applicable). Where the construction contract does not include a facility for the Architect's involvement we may provide ongoing advice on an as needs basis to the client.

It is the aim of this company to establish and maintain a cooperative relationship between the all parties involved in the construction process. Open communication is considered a priority, in order to ensure early resolution of potential problems, concerns, conflicts and subsequently maximise the success of the project for all involved
