Brief:
A luxury “beach shack”
For “fishing and the family”
Solution: Located on a remote site exposed to
the elements, the house was designed to minimize cost and maximize
buildability.
Rammed limestone walls protect and anchor a lightweight structure
of pre-fabricated modules transported to the site for assembly.
Designed to create a functional holiday home for the owners, their
friends and extended family…

Located on a remote site exposed to the elements,
the house was designed to minimize cost and maximize buildability.
Rammed limestone walls protect and anchor a lightweight structure of
pre-fabricated modules transported to the site for assembly.
Designed to create a functional holiday home for the owners,
their friends and extended family the house is “zoned” to
create a variety of living areas grouped around a communal deck
suitable for large gatherings. Materials and construction
detailing will ensure a durable product.
Building form and elevational treatment provide contextual references to the “beach shack” aesthetic of the historic beach settlement.
