Brief:Refurbishment of an existing 2-storey office building within a tight development timeline to:
- improve the external appearance
- upgrade the internal fitout
- improve the thermal performance of the building
- ensure current statutory compliance
The new building form grew from the functional requirements of the design brief. A façade system was developed comprising composite cladding panels for durability, double glazing to improve acoustic performance and vertical aluminum louvre screens and horizontal aerolon awnings to improve thermal performance.
Access points to the building were rationalised to create a more defined public entry to the building. The foyer and reception areas were refurbished to align the interior design of the public areas with the tenant’s contemporary corporate identity.
Close collaboration with and coordination of the requirements of all key stakeholders has resulted in the progressive achievement of project deliverables within the agreed timelines.
